Estimating Workshop

by Admin in ECA Hosts Estimating Workshop

The Eswatini Contractors Association (ECA) successfully hosted a three-day Estimating Workshop under the theme “Price Right or Bleed Cash”. The workshop aimed to equip contractors with practical knowledge and tools to enhance accuracy in project cost estimation.

ECA emphasized that most financial challenges contractors face often begin after tender submission due to poor cost estimation. Accurate pricing is therefore critical, not only to remain competitive during bidding but also to ensure project profitability.

Participants were taken through real-life scenarios, cost breakdown methods, and strategies to avoid underpricing or overpricing. Speaking at the event, ECA leadership urged members to base estimates on facts and data, not guesswork, to safeguard sustainability in the industry.

This workshop reflects ECA’s continued commitment to building capacity within the construction sector and ensuring that Eswatini contractors remain competitive and resilient.
